TIDBITS OF INTEREST (written before the tournament started):
- This tournament is played on the rooftop courts of The Plaza Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
- In Women's Pro Doubles (Friday), we have a very small pro draw with only four teams, but it creates some interesting teams, which should lead to some exciting match-ups: Catherine Parenteau & Simone Jardim, Callie Smith & Christine McGrath, Jessie Irvine & Lindsey Newman, Lea Jansen & Irina Tereschenko. (Noticeably absent: Lucy Kovalova, Team Waters.)
- In Men's Pro Doubles (Saturday), we have a smaller than usual draw with only 11 teams. Some of the favorites include Ben Johns & Collin Johns, Riley Newman & AJ Koller, Rob Nunnery & Dekel Bar, Joey Farias & Jeff Warnick, Tyler Loong & Spencer Smith. (Noticeably absent: Jay Devilliers, Matt Wright, Adam Stone, Kyle Yates.)
- In Mixed Pro Doubles (Sunday), we have 9 teams in the field. Some of the likely favorites are Simone Jardim & Ben Johns, Riley Newman & Lindsey Newman, Irina Tereschenko & Collin Johns, Lea Jansen & Dekel Bar, Catherine Parenteau & Tyler Loong, Jessie Irvine & DJ Young.
